HotScans provides Basic and Advanced Filters to allow you to customize your scans. The Basic Filters (shown below) have defaults. You can change these defaults to be anything you like. For example, you can set a minimum and maximum price, a minimum shares traded on the day, or a minimum average volume for the day. You can even specify a particular market Sector, or Industry Group to scan on. The filters will be applied to all preset and customized scans, and can be saved for future visits.

Advanced Filters:
Advanced filters allow you to find only stocks that meet your choice of parameters for price and volume changes for up to four time periods. You can use these filters to choose stocks that have gapped open or are trading in almost any way relative to their opening range. If you don’t care to use a particular filter just leave that box as Not Filtered.

	Settings for three of the intraday scan periods. In this example we are looking for stocks whose prices have increased and whose relative volume is greater than 100% for the primary scan period.
	These checkboxes allow you to select which opening range patterns you wish to filter on. Only stocks that meet the selected patterns will be included. This example will return only stocks that are trading above their opening range.
	Use this filter to find stocks that are trading within a specified distance from their current days high.
	These filter settings allow you to fine tune the selection by opening range price and relative volume. For example: you can find only stocks whose opening range is less than 20% or their price and have an opening range volume greater than 100% of their normal opening range volume.
	These filter settings allow you to find only stocks that have or have not gapped up or down a specified amount.
