HotScans Portfolios

HotScans Portfolios enable you to save and edit lists of stocks that you want to limit scans to. After saving your portfolio you can quickly run a scan that is limited to only those stocks in your portfolio.

  • If you create a pop out window while viewing a portfolio, the pop out will also be a view of your portfolio.
  • If you create and save a "favorite" scan while viewing a portfolio, the "favorite" will save the portfolio.
  • You can keep a portfolio edit window open to add and remove stocks using the "Apply" button while
  • you view the portfolio in another HotScans window. (Click "Run Scan" after changing the portfolio to see the changes in the scan.)
  • The name of the portfolio being used is displayed in the title in parenthesis before the regular title.

Creating Portfolios

Click "Select Portfolio" and "Add/Edit Portfolios" from the drop-down in the main HotScans window to open the "Add/Edit Portfolios" page.
Click the "Create New Portfolio" button.
Enter a short descriptive name for this portfolio in the "Portfolio Name" text box. This name will show up in the "Select Portfolio" drop-down of the main HotScans page. Click "Finished" to return to HotScans or click "Apply" to save your changes and return to this screen to enter more symbols. If you click "Cancel" you will be returned to HotScans and the changes you made will be discarded.
