Click "Select Portfolio" and "Add/Edit Portfolios"
from the drop-down in the main HotScans window to
open the "Add/Edit Portfolios" page.

Click the "Create New Portfolio" button.
|
|
Enter a short descriptive name for this portfolio
in the "Portfolio Name" text box. This name will show up in
the "Select Portfolio" drop-down of the main
HotScans page. Enter one or more stock symbols in the "Symbol List"
text area. The symbols can be separated with spaces, commas or can be a list
copied from a spreadsheet or other source. Click "Finished"
to return to HotScans or click "Apply" to save your changes
and return to this screen to
enter more symbols. If you click "Cancel" you will be returned to
HotScans and the changes you made will be discarded.

Using Portfolios
|
Click the "Select Portfolio" drop-down in the main HotScans
window and choose the name of the portfolio you wish to scan.

Click the "Run Scan" button. You will see the results
of the current scan settings on the stocks in your portfolio. Note: if
your settings are too restrictive you may not see any stocks in the results
table (check your Basic and Advanced Filters.)

Select "No Portfolio" from the "Select Portfolio"
drop-down to scan all stocks available in HotScans.

To see the top 25 stocks in your portfolio sorted by price change:
- Select No Favorite under favorite scan (should say Select Favorite Scan.)
- Click the Rallying Now preset on the top of the HotScans page.
- Select your portfolio.
- Set all Advanced Filters to Not Filtered.
- Select all Opening Range Trading Pattern options.
- Set minimum and maximum prices in Basic filters to appropriate numbers (.1 & 250).
- Set Vol=0, Avg. Vol.=100, Avg.Rng.=0, Market Cap=All, Exchange=All, and
Sectors & Groups=All Sectors & Groups.

Viewing all stocks in your portfolios
You can view all stocks in your portfolio in your current time frame by clicking on the
"Show portfolio without any filters" link. When you click on this link
HotScans will relax all filters that might prevent any of the stocks in your portfolio from
showing up in the scan. The scan time period and sort order will remain unchanged.
